Broadcasters
is the Sunday Morning church program for the
older children age group of Garden Sanctuary. It is a
full worship service provided for children in 1st to 6th grade.
Under the direction of Sandra Wooten, this ministry takes place
in the gymnasium area of our Christian Education building.
The children worship there on Sunday mornings from
10:30 AM until 12 noon while the adult worship takes place
next door. The aim of the Broadcasters
program is to provide
a place where worship is presented in a style which is suited
to the younger mind and shorter attention span. Songs
and
object lessons are designed to grab that young imagination
and instill within it an awareness of God and salvation
through Jesus, and also to prepare children for involvement
in worship at a young age so they're comfortable in a more
mature worship environment later.
A similar program is provided during the same time
period
for children ages 3 to K5. This group is called Buds, meets
in a separate location, and is geared toward worship for the
even younger mind and heart. Here the young scholars are
prepared for moving up to the larger children's church.
