Garden Sanctuary provides a
fully-staffed nursery during all scheduled church services.
Katherine Thompson is permanent staff, and a group of volunteer helpers
on a rotating
schedule augment her efforts. Also, to ensure the safety and security of our little ones,
our nurseries are equipped with a discreet, vibrating parent paging system, with a
number-coordinated labeling system and child claiming tags. This allows the parent to
be fully involved where they are with no distractions, secure in the
knowledge they
will be summoned if needed. We offer triple nursery facilities which
provide care for
children from infancy all the way to Age 2.
Our youngest
nursery age group is called the Greenhouse and includes children
from
age 0 (infancy) to 3 months. This area requires the presence
of a parent, and is really
designed for nursing mothers and their children.
Our next age
group is called Seedlings, and includes children from 3 months to
15 months old. This nursery is manned by volunteer
nursery workers, and the presence
of parents and others is discouraged.
Our final age group is
called Sprouts, and includes children from 16 months to age 2.
This nursery is also manned by volunteer nursery workers, and the
presence of parents
and others is discouraged here. This is where the children
are being prepared for
moving up to the children's church structure.
