The Women's Ministries group
at Garden Sanctuary, under the
leadership of the Senior Pastor's wife Sandra Wooten, provides
an atmosphere of sharing, fellowship and spiritual growth for
our ladies. Guided by a Women's Ministries Board, the group
endeavors to maintain a schedule of activities and participation
which keep the members in touch with each other and
in tune with God.
Annually, the group schedules a weekend Spiritual Retreat,
usually in early fall, at which time they retire to a beachfront
house and spend two to three days in Bible study and prayer.
This never fails to bring about genuine spiritual renewal and
changed lives and outlooks. In addition, there is a
year-long
"Secret Sisters" club in which each member draws another's
name,
and gifts are secretly exchanged on important dates and special
occasions throughout the year. Also, the group schedules a
once-a-year weeklong Bible study as well as a one-night Bible
study each quarter. All these involvements contribute
toward making this group a genuine "ministry"
for all its members.
